Consultation for counselling Trainees from Immigrant backgrounds

This service can help you move forward with guidance that feels clear, steady, and supportive

Starting your counselling journey can feel exciting, but also confusing, especially if you come from an immigrant background or English isn’t your first language. You might be trying to understand the training system, what is expected, and how everything works in a new country. These non‑therapy consultation of 60 min give you a safe place to ask questions and talk with someone who understands these challenges.

We All start from Somewhere

This service can help if you are thinking about becoming a counsellor, studying Levels 1–3, preparing for a Diploma, or recently qualified and unsure what to do next. Many trainees feel unsure about confidence, language, placements, or how to start looking for paid work or private clients. These sessions offer clear, practical guidance to help you move forward.

You may want to explore whether counselling is the right career for you, how your cultural background can strengthen your practice, or how to manage training when English is not your first language. We can look at training routes, placement expectations, the role of personal therapy, handling course demands, building confidence, and getting ready for private practice. If you are newly qualified, we can also discuss using your strengths, setting fees, starting marketing, and building a small, steady practice.
