Many people reach a point in their individual therapy where they feel ready to deepen their self understanding in a new way. Group therapy offers this opportunity. By sharing space with others, you begin to notice patterns in how you relate, connect, and hold yourself in the presence of people with different perspectives. Being seen and heard within a group can bring insights that are different from one to one work and can support emotional growth, confidence, and connection. For those who have already begun their therapeutic journey, group therapy can be a meaningful next step.
This intercultural group therapy space integrates intercultural, integrative, and group analysis approaches. It is designed for people who have had some individual therapy and want to explore their personal experience within a diverse group setting.
As an intercultural counsellor and group practitioner trained at the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA), Zekiye has extensive experience delivering therapeutic groups and supporting people from varied cultural and community backgrounds.
Sessions take place in Central London at The Practice Room, a quiet and welcoming therapeutic space near King’s Cross and Angel, offering easy travel access.
Each person attends 1 to 3 individual sessions before joining. These sessions allow you to meet the therapist, reflect on your needs, and explore your readiness for group work. They help clarify what you may want to bring and what you hope to gain.
These individual sessions run on Saturdays at 10am or 11am and last 50 minutes.
If you are curious about intercultural group therapy in Central London, you are welcome to arrange a free 15 to 20 minute phone consultation.
